Learn More About the Coalition's Advocacy Efforts

This section of the website presents the Coalition's advocacy materials and tracks regulatory and legislative developments affecting the U.S. proxy system.

Shareholder communications and proxy voting are regulated by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and the individual stock exchanges where securities are traded.  Historically, the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) has taken the lead in regulating proxy issues among the various exchanges.

The Coalition is active on Capitol Hill, urging Members of the U.S. Congress to support a modernization of the shareholder communications and proxy voting rules by the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).
