On February 19, 2015, the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) held a Roundtable to discuss the proxy voting process. A number of the issues discussed at this Roundtable were explored in the SEC's 2010 Concept Release on the U.S. Proxy System.
The Roundtable was divided into two panels. The first panel focused on the issue of universal proxy ballots. The second panel focused on ways to increase retail shareholder participation in the proxy process.
